The Pathological Anatomy Unit of the veterinary laboratory at Laboratorio Echevarne operates under a Digital Pathology system, a system that is being progressively implemented worldwide and is replacing the traditional conventional analog microscopy system.
Digital Pathology is based on the use of high-resolution scanners that digitize histological preparations, so that the diagnosis is made on screens with dedicated image management software. In this way, we achieve greater versatility, remote access, quick access to archived material, and enhanced information management capacity.
In addition to the usual diagnostic support techniques (Histochemistry and Immunohistochemistry), Molecular Biology techniques (PCR, ISH) are used, which are progressively being incorporated into this discipline.
This area is staffed by a team of highly skilled and committed veterinary pathologists with extensive experience in their field. Their dedication, knowledge, and precision guarantee diagnoses of the highest quality, providing confidence and support to veterinarians in their clinical practice.
One of Echevarne's main objectives is client advisory. Since Pathological Anatomy is largely an interpretative specialty, Echevarne Veterinaria prioritizes fluid communication between the pathologist and the veterinarian to collaborate and provide the necessary information for decision-making.
